35 minute countdown
This workout is challenging but incredibly invigorating. Set your erg for a 35 minute piece. You are going to start with a 7 minute piece near your PR pace, SR 30 - 32. Then paddle for a minute before starting a 6 minute piece at the same pace. Minute off, five minute piece, minute off, four minute piece…and so on. With one minute left on the clock, rest from 1:00 until :35. Build over two strokes for a final 30 second sprint.

Early in the workout, the longer pieces may seem unending. Endure; strive for excellent technique and efficiency. As the pieces diminish in length, the effort becomes more and more sprint oriented. Maintain efficiency and you could be flying during the last few minutes; possibly with scores faster than your GP. Cool down with a paddle and be sure to include a long stretch as you wrap up the workout.
